The Scent of Art

Art World of KIM Whanki

Celebrating the 110th anniversary of KIM Whanki’s birth, the Whanki Museum holds the “Making a Museum Together”(unofficial title) event as part of the 2023 Museum Week. The event aims social harmony and awareness among generations, social classes, and individuals with disabilities, as well as to improve cultural accessibility for museum visitors. As part of this effort, a citizen-participatory barrier-free exhibition guide called “Museum Guide” will be provided. The exhibition, which guides visitors through KIM Whanki’s artistic world using various senses, media, and languages including sound and scent, ensures that no one is excluded or felt lost during their visit.
